Roasted Pears In Pecan Sauce Recipe

this is a recipe that I cut out of a country woman magazine.. pears are one of my favorite fruits.. this is good served over pound cake or with ice cream or both!

Ingredients
- 4 medium pears, peeled and cut into wedges
- 3 TBSP. light brown sugar
- 3 TBSP. unsweetened apple juice
- 3 TBSP. butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans, I use more
- 3 TBSP. heavy whipping cream
Directions
- place the pears in an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish
- in a small bowl combine the brown sugar, apple juice and the butter.. pour over the pears
- bake uncovered in at 400'F for 20 minutes, basting occasionally
- sprinkle the pecans over the pears and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes or until the pears are tender
- transfer pears to serving dishes
- pour cooking juice into a small bowl. whisk in the cream until blended
- drizzle over pears
- serve with ice cream and/or cake
