This is a very easy pie crust and the crust is flaky everytime. I use nothing else now.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Wesson oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 t salt

Directions
  1. Mix flour and salt. Stir in oil & milk until dough forms a ball. Roll out pie crust dough between two sheets of wax paper. Place in pie plate and flute edges. Bake according to pie recipe.

I've never used Wesson oil - is it a particular brand, or a type of oil?


It is a brand.
Could be vegetable or canola as the type.
Canola is healthier.


I will be trying this recipe, I am very intimidated by pie crust and have only tried it once. By the way I have bookmarked several of your other recipes, thank you for sharing


This is what I was looking for, Ark - now do you have any suggestions for us "beginner" pie crust preparers on how to roll it out and get it into the pie plate without it falling apart (my biggest problem, obviously!)?


What's great about rolling it between the wax paper is that you can slip off one of the sheets of wax paper and press the dough in the bottom of the pie pan. Then simply peel off the second piece of wax paper. Ta daa! (Flour your wax paper before rolling out the dough between the sheets.)

I am going to try this recipe, too. Thank you for posting it. Don't you have to refrigerate it before you place it in the pie tin? Well if you have time, please let me know. Thanks again for the new recipe to try!
