Tibetan Spring Soup Recipe
An Asian soup for the Springtime..I like this because it is so light and refreshing, yet it is hardy and healthy. From The Daily Shmooze

Ingredients
  • A chopped onion
  • 1 tbl Mixed chopped garlic and ginger
  • 1 lb Diced beef
  • 1 pt Water
  • 1 handf chopped mooli root vegetable, (or chopped radishes)
  • 1 cup Plain pastry chopped into tiny pieces
  • 1 handf ul of lettuce
  • Chopped coriander

Directions
  1. Fry the onion, garlic and ginger together for a minute and add the beef until it is sealed. Pour in the water and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the mooli and the small pastry pieces and cook a minute longer.
  2. At the end, drop in the lettuce and coriander and serve good and hot.

Interesting - We have a similar soup like this called Mee Hoon Kway with torn pieces of plain dough dropped into boiling broth and garnished with vegetables, minced pork and anchovies. This Tibetan soup sounds just as delicious. Amazing how similar we all are at the end of the day :) Thanks for posting.
