Marzipan Bars

- pie crust shopping list
- 1/4 c raspberry jam shopping list
- 1/2 c butter shopping list
- 2/3 c sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2/3 c rice flour or cake flour shopping list
- 1/4 t salt shopping list
- red food color shopping list
- green food color shopping list
- icing shopping list
- 1 1/2 c powdered sugar shopping list
- 3 T butter shopping list
- 1 t almond flavoring shopping list
- 1 T plus 2 t milk shopping list
- sliced almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Roll out pie crust and place in bottom of 9x9 inch ungreased pan. Spread with jam.
- Beat butter and sugar together in bowl. Add eggs one at a time and beat after each. When fluffy, stir in the rice or cake flour and salt.
- Divide batter into two equal portions. Tint one portion pink and the other green.
- Place on top of jam layer by alternating teaspoons of each color. This will look like a checkerboard when finished.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
- Do not brown.
- Batter will flatten as it bakes.
- Cool. Frost. Enjoy!
- May be doubled and baked in 16x12x1 jelly roll pan
