Ribs With Sweet Bourbon Basting Sauce Recipe
Super easy, homemade Bourbon sauce for those tender ribs!!!! Hour and a half, plus marinating. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 5 to 6 lbs pork back ribs, cut into serving sizes
  • 1 T oil
  • ½ C finely chopped sweet onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ C bourbon
  • ½ C water
  • ¼ C teriyaki baste and glaze
  • ¼ c frozen pineapple juice concentrate
  • 2 T lime juice
  • 1 C brown sugar

Directions
  1. Par cook ribs until almost tender by covering with water and simmering on stovetop.
  2. While ribs are simmering....make sauce
  3. Drain in colander and rinse with cold water until cool enough to handle, pat dry with paper towels
  4. Place in resealable bag with marinade and
  5. marinate at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours, turning occasionally
  6. Sauce
  7. Saute onion and garlic in oil in medium saucepan
  8. Add 1 T bourbon
  9. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until onion is tender
  10. Add all remaining ingredients, except bourbon and ribs, mix well and bring to boil
  11. Simmer, uncovered 20 to 30 minutes or until consistency of thick syrup, stirring frequently
  12. Remove from heat, stir in bourbon
  13. Set aside, reserving ¼ C for brushing on ribs
  14. Preheat grill and cook over medium heat 25 to 35 minutes, turning and brushing with reserved sauce
  15. Discard any leftover sauce
