Bacon Wrapped Citrus Scallops

These scallops are just the best! Sweet, Tangy, Salty....yummy! Adjust the quantity of scallops for what you need and try to use REAL maple syrup if you have it.
Ingredients
- 12 bacon slices, cut in half & par-cooked in microwave shopping list
- 24 Large sea scallops (about 2 lbs) shopping list
- ¾ C maple syrup shopping list
- 2 Tbl. unsalted butter, melted shopping list
- 3 Tbl. orange juice shopping list
- 1 tsp orange peel shopping list
- ¼ tsp salt shopping list
- orange wedges (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Wrap each scallop with bacon, thread onto skewers and
- set aside
- Bring syrup to boil in small pan, cok uncovered over medium high and reduce to about 2/3 Cup (about 5 minutes)
- Remove from heat, stir in remaining ingredients, except orange wedges
- Brush mixture over kabobs’ grill on lightly oiled grill rack over medium-high heat until bacon is crisp and scallop are opaque in center, 4 to 6 minutes turning once or twice
- Garnish with orange wedges if desired
