Apple Dews

So easy and so delicious. Yes it does call for Mr. Dew as the liquid but any liquid will do. I've use lemonade, 7 up, orange crush and I've honestly used water with lemon juice added to it. Any liquid works. Most important thing is a TART Granny Smith apple, nothing else.
Ingredients
- 2 granny smith apples (a sweeter apple is really too sweet) shopping list
- 2 cans crescent rolls shopping list
- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 Cups sugar shopping list
- cinnamon, however much you like, 1/2 tsp. in, 1/2 tsp. on top. shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 12 oz. Mt. Dew soda shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Butter a 9 x 13 pan
- Peel, quarter and core 2 apples
- Cut each quarter in half
- Place a slice of apple onto the large end of one crescent triangle
- Roll it up and place in pan
- Melt butter in saucepan on stove-top
- Remove from heat and add sugar and cinnamon and stir. (sugar should not be dissolved)
- Add vanilla and pour over crescent rolls. Be sure to cover the tops.
- Sprinkle the tops with cinnamon, too
- Pour Mt. Dew around the outside edge of pan and in between the rolls
- Bake for 40 minutes
- Best when cooled a bit but slightly warm
