Best Iced Blended Coffee

After years and years of experimentation, I perfected my iced blended recipe. These are way better than Starbucks, and when they melt (if they last that long) they won't get watery, they'll just be cold coffee, so there's no flavor degradation. Read more You can use really any flavor syrup or anything you want to put in there... I've made these with caramel before too, and assorted hot chocolate mixes, but I usually do chocolate or vanilla syrup. Also, you can do the prep way far ahead, so if you have the ice cubes made, you can just throw 'em in and whip it up super fast. See less
Ingredients
- coffee shopping list
- chocolate syrup OR shopping list
- Hot chocolate mix OR shopping list
- any flavored coffee syrup OR shopping list
- any extract + sugar to taste OR shopping list
- chocolate milk OR shopping list
- any sundae syrup. shopping list
- milk shopping list
How to make it
- Either make coffee twice as strong as you like it, or use the rest of the coffee in the pot after you're done and reduce it by half. (This is actually the hardest part in this.) Pour coffee into ice cube trays and freeze.
- Place frozen coffee ice cubes in your blender. Put enough coffee cubes to come up to about the 3-cup mark on your blender. (Or just guesstimate how many you need, it's all about the ratio, not just measurements.)
- Pour in as much syrup, etc, that you'd use for 2 servings of coffee.
- Pour in milk till only the tips of the coffee cubes are showing, but not enough to make them float.
- Blend. If too thin, add more coffee cubes. Too thick, more milk. Too strong, more syrup, etc.
- Best when served with a straw.
