Ricotta And Ham Calzone

- 1 recipe of your favorite pizza crust recipe shopping list
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese shopping list
- 1/2 lb ham, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 lb fresh mozzarella, cut into 1-inch chunks shopping list
- 2egg shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- Red Italian Sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Cut pizza dough into 2 pieces
- In a mixing bowl combine ricotta, mozzarella and egg. Add Ham & mix thoroughly. Set aside.
- Roll the dough into two rounds.
- Spoon the filling onto the center of the dough rounds. Using your finger, rub a little olive oil on the edge of the dough.
- Fold each round over on itself to form a half moon shape.
- Use your fingers to press on edges to seal.
- Beat remaining egg and brush over the top of the calzones.
- Bake about 25 minutes or until the dough is cooked through and golden brown.
- Serve with Italian sauce.

- This one I make for my husband. On mine I add thinly sliced onions and green peppers!

I make this with home made pizza dough. I cut a little vent in the top. I sometimes sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top of calzone it adds a nice crispy touch.
