In case you've heard of it and wondered what it is, it's a traditional English dish made from leftovers. It tastes great and is good for a quick Thursday night meal.

Ingredients
- Cold cooked beef (leftover roast is good)
- 2 knobs of butter
- 1/4 head of cooked cabbage, finely chopped
- 4 med. potatoes, mashed
- 1 or 2 cooked carrots sliced into coins
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Thinly slice enough beef for 4 people
- Sprinkle with pepper and fry quickly using 1 knob of butter
- Take beef out of the pan and keep it warm
- Mix mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage together, season with salt and pepper and fry in the same pan for about 5 minutes until golden
- Serve with the beef on warmed plates
