Blue Cheese Butter Steak Topping Recipe

THIS IS THE BEST BUTTER EVER!!! I use it to top steaks or just spread right on some bread. I promise it will be a huge hit!

Ingredients
  • 8oz blue cheese (cubed)
  • 1 stick of salted butter (cubed)
  • 3 shallots (diced) or 1 small yellow onion

Directions
  1. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan on medium high heat.
  2. Add diced shallots to the butter.
  3. Saute until shallots are completely transparent in color.
  4. Add the blue cheese to the shallot butter and melt through.
  5. As soon as it is all incorporated together, take off heat. Do not over cook.
  6. Now you can either top steaks with this now or do the following...
  7. Let sit in pot for about an hour or until cool and moldable.
  8. Take the blue cheese butter out of the pot and mold into a log and wrap in a sheet of plastic wrap.
  9. Refrigerate.
  10. Some suggestions:
  11. Slice butter and let it melt over a
  12. Burger to make a nice Blue Cheese Burger
  13. Your favorite steak
  14. Simply spread on bread and biscuits.
  15. Melt over hot pasta, makes a simple tasty sauce...
  16. The possibilities are endless. I would love to hear some of your suggestions.
