Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine all of the ingredients except the mango in a bowl and mix together. Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Peel mango and then, using either a sharp peeler or knife, slice the entire mango into thin strips.
  • Heat up a nonstick frying pan over med-high heat. Remove the shrimp from the marinade, add to the pan and fry until pink, 1-2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Wrap a strip of mango around each shrimp and secure with a toothpick.

Made this a couple of nights ago and got good feedback. Definitely grill if you can, I broiled the shrimp and think a little more grill flavor would have enhanced the flavors. I might add a bunch of cilantro and maybe some more garlic next time. Thanks!

This recipe sounds great! Except for one thing...anything called a "devil chile" scares me a bit, LOL. Is this dish really spicy? If so, would using just one devil chile tone it down enough for someone who finds medium salsa fairly challenging?

    Thanks! ;)
