for those who find going to the grocery a hassle jsut to buy a pack of hoisin sauce, here is an easy way to make homemade hoisin sauce. A recipe i learned from my mother.
Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 3 table spoons of peanut butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of honey shopping list
- 2 tsp. sesame oil shopping list
- 2 tsp. hot sauce shopping list
- 1/4 garlic powder shopping list
- a dash of white pepper shopping list
How to make it
- mix all ingredients together until smooth.

I use it in a lot of my Filipino dishes, also for chicken, pork, seafood & steak. I use garlic powder sometimes & other times fresh garlic. I increase the ingredients when I need more than 1...more
