How to make it

  • In a small bowl, dissolve the mustard in the water; let stand for 10 min.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
  • Add nutmeg and mustard mixture. Stir in cheddar cheese and dates/cranberries.
  • Chill for 15 min.
  • Shape int a ball, roll in pecans.
  • Serve with crackers.
  • Refrigerate left overs.
  • Yields: 3 1/2 cups (4 in. ball)
