Ingredients

How to make it

  • Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. Transfer to large glass measuring cup. Pour half of Margarita base into blender; add 3 1/2 cups ice cubes. Blend until mixture is slushy; pour into salt-rimmed Margarita glasses. Repeat with remaining Margarita base and 3 1/2 cups ice cubes.
  • Those were the directions when I got the recipe. Here is how I do it:
  • Once first batch is made into slushy mixture, transfer it into a large container with a lid. Transfer the second batch into same container. Freeze. To serve, scoop out with ice cream scoop into a lime and salt rimmed margarita glass, garnish with a lime slice and serve. Even the colors say Merry Christmas! The good thing about this method is that you can make these ahead for a party and relax...REALLY relax once you've had one or two!

I love to serve margaritas in the summer for bbq's, and this is a new "twist" on flavors...very interesting, and I will be trying it for sure when it FINALLY warms up around here.

These sound wonderful! Can't wait to try them - don't think I need to wait until Christmas - a good Margarita is welcome any day!
