Strawberries Biltmore

This recipe was given to me many years ago,and i have used it too many times to mention.
Ingredients
- 1quart strawberries shopping list
- rum.....enough to cover strawberries shopping list
- 1/4 lb powdered sugar shopping list
- Stem and clean and wash thoroughly.Drain on a napkin shopping list
- add to berries and let stand for 2 hours before serving. shopping list
- Not too long,however,as the berries will become soggy. shopping list
- Drain and serve very cold shopping list

- SAUCE shopping list
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream shopping list
- 2oz Kirschwasser( cherry brandy) shopping list
- 1cup whipping cream(whipped) shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- Mix and stir well shopping list
- fold into above mixture andf chill shopping list
- Serve over strawberries in a glass compote. shopping list
