Sausage Waffles Recipe
SAUSAGE WAFFLES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Devon Estate in Addison, Texas in 2001.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound sausage
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1-3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter

Directions
  1. Crumble sausage into a medium skillet then cook over medium heat until browned.
  2. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
  3. In medium bowl mix together eggs, milk and melted butter.
  4. In another bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Add to egg mixture and mix well.
  6. Cook in a hot, well-oiled waffle iron sprinkling sausage over each waffle.
  7. Repeat then serve with butter.
