I like this better than any jarred Tarter Sauce I've had because this delivers a freshness that the jarred sauces don't. You really could change this to your liking with the primary goal of serving it fresh.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon minced onion, or shallots shopping list
- 1 tablespoon capers 1 teaspoon vinegar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped sweet pickles 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard shopping list
- 1 hard boiled egg, finely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients and mix well. Chill in covered dish until ready to use. Serve with almost any fried fish.
