Old-Fashioned Orange Marmalade

- 3 oranges, peeled shopping list
- 3 navel oranges, peeled shopping list
- 1 lemon, unpeeled shopping list
- 11 cups cold water shopping list
- 7 cups sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Remove all white membranes from peeled oranges and slice thin.
- Slice unpeeled lemon.
- Cover oranges and lemon with water.
- Let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours.
- Boil for 3 hours, add sugar and boil 1 more hour.
- Put into sterile jars and seal.
- Makes 4 pints.
- You can add some very finely chopped orange rind, but beware - it does cook tough, without very long boiling.
