Apfelfullung Apple Dressing

Dressing made with apples. I don't remember where I got this.
Ingredients
- 1/2 medium onion (finely chopped) shopping list
- 6 cups soft bread (little pieces) shopping list
- 3 tart apples, diced (by hand) shopping list
- 2 stalks celery, diced (by hand) shopping list
- 1 tsp. ground sage shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. ground thyme shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/2 16.9 oz. bottle of water shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1 can chicken broth (or vegetable) shopping list
- more water if needed shopping list
How to make it
- Mix and toss all but last 4 ingredients in the BIG mixing bowl, then add the water, broth, and butter (mix again). Turn into a large cake pan and bake at 350 degrees, covered for 30-40 minutes. Serve warm.
