Green Beans with Pecans and Red Peppers

- 1 pound fresh green beans, ends snapped off shopping list
- 4 slices bacon, chopped shopping list
- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped shopping list
- 1 red pepper, sliced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Put bacon and pecans in a large skillet and saute them together until the bacon is crisp. Add the beans, red pepper and brown sugar and toss together well. Add a tablespoon or two of water, cover the pan and let the beans cook until slightly beyond tender crisp. Toss well again and serve.
- Really nice with baked chicken, steaks or any plain meats.
