Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large heavy saucepan, combine pork, onion and potatoes.
  • Add spices and water.
  • Cook uncovered on stovetop for 20 minutes.
  • Remove spices in cheescloth.
  • Divide mixture between 2 pie shells.
  • Fill pie shells and use 2 pie shells as covers.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook for 1 hour.

    My Mother-in-law used to make these. She was from Quebec. Mine never tasted as good as hers did. Thanks for the post. Would you happen to have a recipe for a meat spread that had nice spices in it? I think it was called Coution or something like that. I know it isn't spelled that way. Cheers!
