Ingredients
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, not packed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 tbs butter
  • 2 tbs light corn syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped

Directions
  1. Mix butter, sugars, milk, corn syrup and salt in saucepan and bring to boil stirring with a wooden spoon. cook to soft ball stage, about 10 minutes. Test by dropping a drop of mixture into cold water. Drop should be soft when picked up with fingers. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Beat until mixture begins to thicken, about one minute. Drop by tablespoons onto buttered waxed paper. Let cool. ENJOY!
  2. Note: Put a layer of newspapers under waxed paper. These will spread when dropped.
