This is an incredible recipe. I love stuffing pita bread and this is a recipe I perfected a few years bac.k. Very tasty and very comforting. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 2 beef rib eye steaks well trimmed cut 1" thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 4 whole pita pocket breads warmed
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ripe olives
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Combine garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt and pepper then press evenly into both sides of steaks.
  2. In large nonstick skillet heat oil over medium heat until hot.
  3. Place steaks in skillet then cook 12 minutes turning once then sprinkle with lemon juice.
  4. To serve carve steaks into thin slices then arrange equal amounts on top of each pita bread.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese and olives and serve immediately.

I love steaks! This is a great recipe. I also like to stuff pitas and I have a recipe that my brother came up with and it is a number 1 sell at the resturant. I can not post it on the site bcause he and the owner, has a copyright.But the family also had the recipe, lol.
