Beef French Loaf Recipe
This is an Ole Miss tailgate staple. You can cut it after it bakes but it seemed easier to cut it prior to if you are taking it somewhere. Very tasty

Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Chuck
  • 1 French Bread (large)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 2 T oregano
  • 1 lb Mexican velvetta
  • salt
  • peper
  • garlic (to taste)

Directions
  1. Slice bread in half lengthwise then dig out middle.
  2. Tear middle up into pieces and save.
  3. Brown ground chuck with seasonings and onion and simmer until onion is tender.
  4. Melt velvetta and mix with beef.
  5. Add torn up bread pieces then fill bread.
  6. Cut into slices, wrap in foil and refrigerate.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until warm throughout.
