Blue-Cheese Potato Gratin

- 4 large baking potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch thick. shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 6 ounces grumbled blue cheese shopping list
- 2 slices white bread, coarsely crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine potatoes, cream, milk, garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg and half of the blue cheese in a large sauce pan.
- Simmer this for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon this mixture into a 8 x 8 x 2 baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese and crumbs.
- Bake at 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

Zena: I made this last night for a dinner party and it was a HUGE hit. Thanks so much for another great post. I tripled the recipe since there were 20 people at the party and NONE of it was left. This is a keeper without doubt.
