How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks and salt
  • Beat until fluffy then add sifted flour and vanilla
  • Shape into tiny balls
  • Place on cookie sheet and put a "dimple" in each ball by pressing a floured thumb in center of ball
  • Fill each with currant jelly
  • Bake at 300 degrees until brown
