I've never made a cake with oatmeal and I was just looking at krumkake's version and wanted to make it. Thanks for another variation!

How funny - I just posted an oatmeal cake last night, wondering if anyone would remember this long-forgotten cake! I love your version of the broiled topping, and will have to try it - I'm so glad others remember this delicious, moist cake (and oatmeal is GOOD for you, so I almost feel healthy eating it!)...thanks!

We used to have this back in the day and it was delicious - thanks so much for sharing the recipe. I cannot wait to taste it again - that broiled topping is yummo.
