This is a great recipe from the side of the Malt-0-Meal box. Slightly sweet muffins are a great way to get some fiber in your diet at breakfast or anytime.

This sounds good and interesting will have to try thanks.

Wow, haven't made these in years! So good, though...thanks for the reminder and sharing the recipe!

Oh my gosh Lisa!!! I grew up on Malt-O-Meal!! My dad made it for us kids every Wednesday before school!!! God love him......Keeping us healthy even back then! Muffins are a great way to start the morning!! Thanks for the great post!! Take care............ :-)

Have never seen maltomeal but I guess I'll have to look for it now....Thanks...:)

Do you think coco wheats would work?? Boiuught it for the kids to try and it was a no go so I have a whole box left in cupboard!!!

Thanks for checking out the Magic Muffins recipe. I don't know what cocoa wheats is/are (?) but if it's a hot cream of wheat type breakfast cereal, I don't see why not. The first time I made these several years ago was because I'm not crazy for the hot cereal myself, but had almost a whole box in the cabinet and saw the recipe on the side of the box. I liked the muffins much better. My husband loves the cereal so now I've got it on hand again. Give what you have a try. The cocoa part sounds really good for the muffins.

I think I've got a box of this in the cabinet, too. I love it but can't get anyone else to eat it....they will prolly eat these though. :)

Fantastic! Thanks...

I used the cocoa wheats and they came out perfect!!!! Some butter and honey and they were gone!!!! Made a second batch using my mini muffin tin and the kids loved that!!(decreased the time by 2 min)

Ok made 2 batches yesterday...put 1/4 cup of cocoa powder in the second one..everybody is eating them up! I especially like them warmed up with butter. :)

I'm going to have to use the cocoa now. That sounds great.

Thanks for the reminder- I made these quite a few years ago. We liked them. Now I'm craving coco wheats. I'll have to go buy some and try the chocolate version. Thanks--
