- Cake: shopping list
- 1 box white cake mix shopping list
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 3/4 cup warm water shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 3oz package lemon flavored gelatin shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 2/3 cup orange juice shopping list
- 3 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice shopping list
- 3/4 confectioners' sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour one 12-cup tube pan.
- Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Beat at low speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn out onto wire rack.
- Combine ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Let cool at least 10 minutes.
- Poke holes in top of cake using fork or toothpick.
- Slowly pour glaze over warm cake. Place a pan underneath to catch any runoff.
- Let cake cool completely before cutting.
- For an extra tangy cake,use lemon supreme cake mix and replace water with thawed,heated lemonade concentrate.
