How to make it

  • The Day before serving:
  • Combine all liquid ingredients in a large plastic or glass container (do not use aluminum).
  • Slice fruit thinly and add to liquid.
  • Refrigerate overnight to allow flavours to mellow.
  • I have no idea how many this will serve -- you know your friends better than I do!

    This sounds great but I have to tell you a story about the 1st time I made Sangria. It was my "then husband's" birthday. My kids were 6 - 12. We were having a cookout with friends and their kids. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer sometimes so when one of the kids asked if they could have some of the fruit from the punch bowl I said yes. I had no idea that the alcohol would straight to the fruit. I have to admit that I had some happy kids, both mine and our friend's kids.
