Smoked Baby Back Ribs With Special Sauce Recipe
Great recipe. Another recipe from my catering partner who makes this often with glowing reviews. Tasty, smokey, saucy, savory and awesome.

Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons smoked salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 4 cups catsup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 3 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 small white onion chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 racks baby back ribs
  • 6 wood chunks soaked

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients except ribs and wood chunks in a saucepan stirring to blend well. Simmer for 4 hours stirring often and adding a little water if needed.
  2. Trim off as much excess fat as possible from rubs.
  3. Cut racks in half then preheat oven to 350.
  4. Put ribs on pans in a single layer and bake 60 minutes rotating pan after 30 minutes.
  5. Put ribs in an upright position on rib racks in smoker.
  6. Add 3 soaked wood chunks to fire then smoke for 4 hours.
  7. Add 3 more soaked wood chunks midway through smoking.
  8. When ribs are done coat with sauce and serve immediately.
