How to make it

  • Preheat Char-grill.
  • Combine beef with bbq sauce and seasonings.
  • Divide into 4 portions.
  • Slowly press the patty flat with palm of your hand, the patty should be 3/4 inch thick.
  • Place on hot grill for 3-4 minutes each side for medium-well doneness.
  • You should see clear juices coming through burger when meat is done.
  • Place pita pockets on grill to warm bread, 30 seconds each side.
  • Blend ranch dressing and mustard.
  • Cut pitas in half, spread 1 Tbsp of ranch/mustard mix evenly on bread, lay in a 1/2 cup shredded romaine, 2 slices of tomato and a burger.

    Burgers and BBQ are a marriage made from heaven the addition of the cumin and chile spice really adds that extra kick I look for.Putting it all in a pocket is simply genius.
