Bbq Burger Pocket Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

1-1/2 Tbsp. BBQ sauce

1-1/2 tsp. chili powder

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. garlic powdr

1 tsp. onion powder

1 or 2 tomato, 8 slices

2 cups romaine, shredded

2 Tbsp. ranch dressing

2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

2 whole wheat pitas

Directions

Preheat Char-grill.

Combine beef with bbq sauce and seasonings.

Divide into 4 portions.

Slowly press the patty flat with palm of your hand, the patty should be 3/4 inch thick.

Place on hot grill for 3-4 minutes each side for medium-well doneness.

You should see clear juices coming through burger when meat is done.

Place pita pockets on grill to warm bread, 30 seconds each side.

Blend ranch dressing and mustard.

Cut pitas in half, spread 1 Tbsp of ranch/mustard mix evenly on bread, lay in a 1/2 cup shredded romaine, 2 slices of tomato and a burger.
