How to make it

  • Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place in 3 1/2 to 4 qt slow cooker. Cover with onion slices.
  • Mix remaining ingredients; pour over ribs and onion.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
  • Remove ribs to warm platter; keep warm. Strain juices. Pour juices from slow cooker int 1 qt saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat; reduce heat to medium. Cook about 5 minutes or until sauce has slightly thickened. Serve sauce with ribs.

    Just to give credit: this recipe is from Betty Crocker.
    This was delicious! I was kinda scared of the amount of liquid smoke. I thought it could be wrong but it wasn't. These smelled wonderful! Mine were done in seven hours. Didn't do the sauce thing. I added a picture and a thread in IMI 1/24/14

    This sounds good; I think I'd brown my ribs in the oven first though -- but I guess that does defeat the purpose of the slow cooker if you are a workin' woman doesn't it!
