chunky chicken cacciatore-

- 3/4 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried basil shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 11/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts ( cut into 1-1/2 inch- 2- inch pieces) shopping list
- 2 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 large onion , chopped shopping list
- 1 green pepper seeded and chopped shopping list
- 1 red pepper seeded and chopped shopping list
- 1 clove of garlic minced shopping list
- 2 ( 14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes with onion and basil and oregano. shopping list
- 3/4 tablespoon light brown sugar shopping list
How to make it
- in a small bowl, combine flour, oregano, basil, paprika, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. rinse chicken and cut into 1-1/2 to 2 inch pieces, in a large nonstick skillet, heat olive oil.
- cook chicken med- low heat turning pieces until all sides are lightly browned, about 20 minutes
- remove chicken and set aside; add to skillet onion, red and green peppers, garlic and 1 tablespoon of oil; saute 10 to 15 minutes until crisp-tender.
- sprinkle with flour/ spice mix while cooking ;...add tomatoes with the juice and stir until bubbly.
- add brown sugar, continue to stir, add chicken to mixture, cook 10 -to 15 minutes more on low heat..........serves 4
- serve over rice or noodles on side ........

This sure sounds a lot better than the chicken cacciatore that I do, but mine is calld cheaters chicken cacciatore.Your recipe sounds delicious!
