A versatile sauce that can be used for satay, cold noodles, over rice, or as a condiment. Personally I like it with chicken and rice.

Ingredients
  • 1 Tbs Peanut or Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Medium Onion, Diced
  • 6 or 7 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbs Fresh Ginger, Minced
  • 2 oz Rice Wine
  • 8 oz (by weight) Peanut Butter
  • 1 1/2-2 Cups water
  • 1 tsp Curry Powder
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp Chinese Five Spice
  • 1 Tbs Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1 Tbs Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Directions
  1. Pre-heat pot over medium-high heat
  2. Saute onion, garlic, ginger and a pinch of salt in the peanut oil until the garlic and ginger are lightly browned
  3. Add the wine and reduce completely
  4. Lower heat to low, add peanut putter and let it melt while stirring, add the teriyaki and soy sauce, then add water until it is a good consistency, stir constantly until the ingredients are fully incorporated
  5. Add spices, and sugar keep stirring
  6. Cook for about 5 min stirring continuously DO NOT LET THE SAUCE BOIL!
  7. Turn off heat, add sesame oil stir until incorporated
  8. You're Done! Time to enjoy!
