Ingredients
  • 1 small cabbage. chopped
  • 2 bunches of kale, chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 can white or red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 lb of Portuguese Chorizo sausage
  • 8 red potatoes, skin in and cubed
  • 1 750 ml can beef broth
  • 1 c water
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions
  1. In a large pot bring beef broth and 1 cup of water to a boil.
  2. Season with salt and pepper and add chorico and onions,
  3. Simmer over medium for 15 minutes.
  4. Next add the cabbage, kale, potatoes, and beans and bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer over medium for another 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Let rest for an 1/2 hour. Serve with bread.

Being Portuguese myself I have had this many times while growing up, though my mother called it queovos( pronounced kway voos) on of my favorite foods when I am not feeling well
