These are very crunchy and very tasty. I make these when I need a quick treat for the office or Church. Always well received. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups crisped rice cereal
  • 6 ounce package semisweet chocolate morsels

Directions
  1. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt then set aside.
  2. Measure margarine and sugar into large mixing bowl then beat until well blended and smooth.
  3. Add egg and vanilla then beat well.
  4. Add sifted dry ingredients then mix until combined.
  5. Stir in cereal and chocolate morsels.
  6. Drop by teaspoonsful onto lightly greased baking sheets.
  7. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove immediately from baking sheets onto brown paper.
