- 2 Tbs. olive oil shopping list
- 1 lrg onion, chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef shopping list
- 1 - 14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 c. raisins shopping list
- 1 c. pimiento stuffed green olives, drained and chopped shopping list
- 1/4 c. tomato paste shopping list
- 2 tsp. balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 tsp. chili powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic; saute until the onion is soft (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground beef to the onion and garlic. Saute until cooked, breaking up the meat with a spoon or fork.
- Add all remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes, until picadillo thickens. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve over hot rice.
