Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and beat well.
  • Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add flour mixture alternately with applebutter.
  • Stir in oatmeal and mix well.
  • Spoon into well buttered muffin tins 3/4 full.
  • Sprinkle with additional brown sugar and gently press it into the tops just a bit to help it "stick" when baked.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 22 to 28 minutes, until top springs back when poked with your finger.
  • Cool pan on wire racks for a few minutes before removing muffins (or line tins with cupcake liners for easy removal).
