How to make it

  • Prepare cake as directed on package for a three layer cake.
  • To make filling put egg, sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla, salt and butter in a saucepan.
  • Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened about 10 minutes.
  • Do not boil then remove from heat and stir in coconut, nuts and cherries.
  • Let frosting cool then frost cake.

    SOUNDS GOOD BUT I'LL HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE NUTS. I'M ALLERGIC. BUT THATS GOOD ABOUT RECIPES YOU CAN ALWAYS PLAY AROUND WITH THEM. THANKS AGAIN FOR GREAT RECIPE.
