Ingredients
  • 1 (3.3 oz) bag microwavable kettle corn
  • 1/4 cup butter, plus more for greasing the pan
  • 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup Chocolate M&M's, or Peanut M&M's

Directions
  1. Make microwavable popcorn according to instructions on the bag.
  2. Discard any popcorn kernels from the bag.
  3. Butter the inside of one 8x8-inch pan with a bit of butter.
  4. In a large kettle or Dutch oven, add the 1/4 cup of butter.
  5. Melt the butter over low heat, then add the marshmallows;
  6. stirring until marshmallows have melted completely.
  7. Remove kettle from stove, and quickly stir the melted marshmallows
  8. and popcorn together, then add the M&M's, and quickly stir them in as well.
  9. Pour the popcorn mixture into the prepared pan.
  10. With buttered hands, press popcorn mixture down into pan.
  11. Cover pan with plastic wrap, and set aside to cool.
  12. Let cake set for a few hours before cutting into squares.
  13. ( About 4 hours. )
  14. This makes 6 servings.
  15. Note: Can also make with 4 cups of miniature marshmallows,
  16. With the extra marshmallows added, this will make 8 servings.
