This is one of the best little sauces I have made in a while - if you like the tang of balsamic vinegar you will find many different uses for this sauce

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Balsamic Vinegar (make sure you use a good one like Modena)
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • pinch of salt

Directions
  1. Over medium high heat bring to a rolling boil - stir until sugar is dissolved and continue to cook until reduced to 1/3 - 1/4 cup this is very potent and a little goes a long way - I love to serve it over fresh cut strawberries with a dolpe of fresh whip cream!!!!!

That's something I have never had....balsamic vinegar over strawberries. I should get out more! I'm stuck on this website and I can't get up!!

I like balsamic vinegar but I have never tried on fruit. Your sauce sounds interesting and delicious!

This is a winner. Thanks Raven.

I am going to use this recipe for my strawberry topped scones for July 4th! It's just perfect for what I want to do....Thanks!

This reduction was a hit among the adults. Plus it's really easy to use a squeeze tube and decorate with it! Thanks for sharing this one!
