Pear Salad

This is a salad my Mom served when I was growing up and I served to my family. It is an old salad recipe that brought back memories to everyone when I took it to a pot luck party. It is very fast and easy to prepare but such a classic everyone will be impressed!
Ingredients
- 1 large cans of pears shopping list
- Finely grated cheddar cheese to taste shopping list
- lettuce (you can use any kind of lettuce but I prefer green leaf) shopping list
- Mayonaise shopping list
How to make it
- Create a bed of lettuce in 4 salad plates or on a platter
- Place drained pears on the lettuce with cut side up
- Top with the finely grated cheddar cheese
- Top the cheese with a dollop of mayonaise
- Serve

- My husband does not like mayonaise so he has his dry and loves it.

I grew up with this salad too and certainly liked it. I think we had it a lot because my father LOVED it.Hmmm. I have a can of pears......Thanks for the memories!
