Ingredients

How to make it

  • Create a bed of lettuce in 4 salad plates or on a platter
  • Place drained pears on the lettuce with cut side up
  • Top with the finely grated cheddar cheese
  • Top the cheese with a dollop of mayonaise
  • Serve

  • My husband does not like mayonaise so he has his dry and loves it.

    I grew up with this salad too and certainly liked it. I think we had it a lot because my father LOVED it.Hmmm. I have a can of pears......Thanks for the memories!
