Chipotle Citrus Marinade for Chicken or Pork

Came up with this when I was bored with the same old marinades. This one spiced up the menu very nicely!

Ingredients

1/4 cup honey shopping list
1 orange, zested and juiced shopping list
1 lime, zested and juiced shopping list
1 tablespoon lemon pepper shopping list
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin shopping list
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt shopping list
2 chipotle chiles canned in adobo, chopped and add a little of the sauce shopping list

How to make it

Combine all with a whisk and marinate pork or chicken for several hours. Grill.

Extremely disappointing. Lacks depth and the only thing that comes out of that recipe is lime. The balance of spiciness is good though. Just the right amount... then again, that is subjective. When I looked at this recipe, I had serious doubts but I let myself be guided by your popularity and the 9 good comments. That was a huge mistake. That recipe has half the beginning of some potential.... meaning, it needs work!

Like you said, you came up with this one when bored... it shows as it is boring and honestly, unpleasant with pork tenderloins. The balance is way off and the taste, far from multidimensional.

Maybe your other recipes are good, but this one should have stayed, at the stage it is now, as an experiment to develop on and NOT shared as a finished work.
