Honey Walnut Bread

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup honey shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
How to make it
- Scald milk in large saucepan.
- Add honey and sugar and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
- **Mixture will curdle - a reaction that is normal and harmless**
- Cool the mixture
- Beat in softened butter and egg yolks
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt and turn into batter.
- Beat well
- Add nuts
- Pour batter into buttered and floured loaf pan.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until tests done
- Turn out on wire rack after it cools partially
- Freezes well.
