How to make it

  • In a bowl mix all by hand...
  • Mix Shortening and Sugar
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well!
  • Add vanilla and lemon juice
  • Gradually add flour
  • Bake in a bunt pan,or tube pan, greased and floured
  • Bake in a pre-heated 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 mins.
  • Check at one hour.
  • When done turn upside down on a bottle of some kind for about 20 mins.
  • Let cool completely and remove from pan
