Jeannes Pound Cake

- 1 Cup shortening shopping list
- 1 2/3 Cup sugar shopping list
- 6 whole eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- juice of one lemon (can substitute a 1 tablespoon of lemon juice) shopping list
- 2 cups of flour shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl mix all by hand...
- Mix Shortening and Sugar
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well!
- Add vanilla and lemon juice
- Gradually add flour
- Bake in a bunt pan,or tube pan, greased and floured
- Bake in a pre-heated 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 mins.
- Check at one hour.
- When done turn upside down on a bottle of some kind for about 20 mins.
- Let cool completely and remove from pan
