Classic Beer Butt Chicken

- 7 LB whole chicken shopping list
- 1 CAN OF beer (MAYBE MORE FOR THE COOK) shopping list
- 1/2 STICK OF butter shopping list
- FRESH rosemary shopping list
- garlic pepper shopping list
- season salt shopping list
- COURSE ground pepper shopping list
How to make it
- MIX TOGETHER ALL OF THE SPICES, I CAN'T TELL YOU THE EXACT MEASUREMENTS, BECAUSE I DON'T USE ANY, IT'S TOTALLY BY PREFERENCE OF TASTE, SAVE A SMALL AMOUNT FOR LATER.
- RUB THE SPICES ALL OVER THE SKIN OF THE CHICKEN AND CAREFULLY UNDER THE SKIN, TRYING NOT TO TEAR IT.
- EITHER USING A "BEER BUTT" CHICKEN STAND OR BEER CAN, USE AS MUCH OF THE BEER AS YOU CAN, CUT UP THE BUTTER AND FIT IT IN WITHOUT OVER-FLOWING
- ADD OF THE REST OF THE SPICES TO THE BEER CAN.
- PLACE THE CHICKEN ON THE BEER CAN OR HOLDER.
- PLACE A FOIL PAN OR GLASS DISH UNDER THE CHICKEN.
- IF USING THE BEER CAN, IT WILL BE VERY UNSTEADY, SO YOU WILL NEED TO BE CAREFUL MOVING IT.
- GRILL OR BAKE IN THE OVEN UNTIL SKIN IS BROWNED AND CRISPY AND JUICES RUN CLEAR.
- CAREFULLY REMOVE THE CHICKEN FROM THE CAN AND POUR THE JUICE FROM THE CAN INTO A SMALL PAN AND MAKE GRAVY AS NORMAL.
