How to make it

  • Prepare Yogurt Sauce:
  • Combine Yogurt Sauce ingredients in small bowl. Cover; chill up to 4 hours before ready to serve.
  • For the burgers:
  • Soak 4 bamboo skewers in water. Combine meat, seasonings and wine in medium bowl; mix lightly. Divide mixture into eight equal portions; form each portion into an oval, each about 4 inches long. Cover; chill 30 minutes.
  • Preheat grill. Insert skewers lengthwise through centers of ovals, placing 2 on each skewer. Grill about 8 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once. Fill pita bread with lettuce, meat and chopped tomatoes. Serve with Yogurt Sauce. (Try a small squeeze of lemon or even lime in your yogurt sauce!)
