How to make it

  • Grate cheese, let soften. Mix cheese, margarine, flour, seasonings and water. Work into a smooth dough. Use a piece of dough about the size of a walnut and flatten with fingers. Press dough smoothly around each olive. Bake on a greased baking sheet at 350F for 15-20 minutes, or until light brown. Freeze before baking if desired.
  • Yield: About 6 doz.

    I made a version of these recently and refrigerated them several hours b4 baking, yet they came out flat on the bottom! I had hoped they would bake up round...nevertheless everyone loved them! Your recipe looks even better...a little more seasoning.
